The White Oak Bed & Breakfast
The History

Avon is situated on the eastern bank of the Genesee River, in Livingston County, the gateway to New York's Finger Lakes Region.

The site of the White Oak was deeded in 1822 to members of the Wadsworth family, owners of vast tracts in Livingston County.
"We enjoyed our stay in Avon and the surrounding area very much. We especially enjoyed the hospitality and accommodations at the White Oak."

277 Genesee Street in Avon is one of the village's earliest residences. Constructed as a summer home, c. 1850 for Asahel Wadsworth, the house has undergone interior changes but retains its distinctive Second Empire Victorian exterior charm, as well as its warm Victorian interior atmosphere.
